International Night of Networking Helps Build Job Contacts and Confidence


Virtually all career experts agree that networking within professional circles is an incredibly effective way to find a new job.

Virtually all career experts agree that networking within professional circles is an incredibly effective way to find a new job.  However, as anyone who has searched for a job knows, it can be intimidating at times.  Many recent refugees face the additional challenge of having to start from scratch without the benefit of an existing network of former colleagues or professional contacts.
 
Refugees in San Diego had a great opportunity to network with prospective employers on July 14.  The "International Night of Networking," hosted by RefugeeWorks, San Diego Refugee Forum and Regional Health Occupations Resource Centers, focused on helping professionals market themselves and make connections with local employers in their fields.
