Ethnic Community Self Help Grant Conference Call

Purpose: "Preparing Competitive Proposals for ORR's 'Ethnic Community Self-Help' Discretionary Grants" (GRANT DUE: 22 March 2013)

Length: 1/2 - 1 hour phone conference. REGISTER HERE for conference calls on either FRIDAY 1 MARCH 2013 at 10 a.m. or WEDNESDAY 6 MARCH 2013 at 2 p.m.

Who should attend: Recently arrived ethnic community leaders and their ethnic community-based organizations. Please note that responsive proposed projects will serve refugees who have arrived in 2008 or later.

Overview: ISED Solutions will offer a 45-minute phone conference for interested parties on preparing competitive proposals for ORR's Ethnic Community Self-Help Grant Program. This call will provide attendees with an overview of the Request for Proposals (RFP) as well as possible program design and proposal development strategies to use when preparing applications. The conference call will include discussion of the new two-file grants.gov submission package. The conference call is free of charge and will outline ISED Solutions Business Development Services, which include fee-for-service program design and proposal development. 

George Wright, ISED Solutions Senior Consultant, will lead the call. Mr. Wright has prepared successful Ethnic Communities proposals on behalf of ethnic community-based organizations and has directly managed and advised ethnic community-based organizations since 2005.  He has a 12-year history in the refugee services sector and an intimate understanding of social and economic self-sufficiency programs for refugees.
