What is a loan loss rate?
Loan Loss Rate: This figure is the dollar amount declared non-receivable and written off, net of recoveries, during the fiscal year divided by the total dollar amount of microloans outstanding for the fiscal year. (AEO Micreenterprise Standards)
How to calculate an annual loan loss rate?
Basic data:
1) Outstanding dollar amount at the beginning of the year
2) Outstanding dollar amount at the end of the year
3) Amount that is written off
4) amount that you recovered

The Karen or Kayin (Karen: Pwa Ka Nyaw Po or Kanyaw); are a group of ethnic peoples who reside primarily in southern and southeastern Burma (Myanmar). The Karen make up approximately 7 percent of the total Burmese population of approximately 50 million people.A large number of Karen also reside in Thailand, mostly on the Thai-Burmese border.
